1069 (Flight Refuelling Wimborne) Squadron A.T.C.

Welcome to 1069’s website. We represent Wimborne in the Dorset and Wiltshire Wing of the Air Training Corps.

Our aim is to promote and encourage among young men and women a practical interest in aviation and the Royal Air Force. Additionally we provide training which will be useful both in the services and civilian life. We also aim to foster the spirit of adventure and to develop the qualities of leadership and good citizenship.

The Squadron was originally formed in 1941 as the Wimborne and District Squadron. In 1981 the long association between the squadron and Flight Refuelling Ltd was recognised when the squadron adopted the name 1069 (Flight Refuelling Wimborne).

The Squadron parades Tuesday and Friday between 1930 and 2130 hours and is open to anyone between the ages of 13 and 18.
